Primary Beginning Interest Mandarin

Our primary Mandarin classes are available to students in years 5 and 6 (upper KS2). The curriculum introduces students to the foundations of spoken and written Mandarin Chinese. Through engaging, interactive lessons, pupils develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while gaining an appreciation for the Chinese language and culture.

Students learn practical vocabulary and sentence structures that enable them to communicate about everyday topics such as family, school life, hobbies, food, and travel. Alongside language learning, children explore aspects of Chinese traditions, festivals, geography, and cultural heritage, fostering curiosity and global awareness.
